Security in Entities
Phase 2: Forms Modeling > Advanced Tips > Entities Privacy
Security in an entity is related to the access the users have to the instances of such entity, through their user interface which is named form. An instance of an entity corresponds to a created form, that contains data in its fields.
Entities Classification according to the Security Level
Public
The only security that controls the access to a public entity is the one given by the user profile.
Private
An entity is private when besides the defined security in the user profiles, it exists an additional verification per entity instance.
The verification takes into account the following concepts:
•Instance Owner
Identification of the user that has access permits to display, modify and delete the particular instance of an entity.
•Access according to Hierarchy
The access to data of instance besides the owner, takes into account the definition of the organizational unit the owner user belongs to. If a user belongs to a unit that has the access properties to the private data defined, the coordinator of such unit can have some of the defined access for the instances of their subordinates.
•Security to functions
Allows the user that is not owner of instances, through security functions assigned to a permit, to have access to these instances despite being private. The user is allowed to show, modify or delete the private instances.
